Heating Engineer

Gas Heating Engineer Cambridshire/Hertfordshire Salary: £35000 - £45000 basic Benefits: Company Vehicle & Fuel card, Pension Scheme and Online payslips, 25 days holiday (increasing after 3 years' service), Tablet, Phone, Company Uniform and PPE. OVERALL, ROLE As a Gas Engineer / Plumber, you are kept busy with a wide variety of work including domestic gas work, planned annual gas safety checks and boiler services, boiler breakdown repairs, installs and all domestic plumbing work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Undertake heating engineering & plumbing duties including reactive repairs, servicing of boilers and other appliances, installations, and associated works. · Undertake the installation of new domestic heating systems in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, industry best practice codes and practice and legislation. · Issue notices and certificates required by the relevant regulations relating to gas safety. · Attend appointments as scheduled and instructed. · Ensure that vehicles operated by the gas and plumbing team are operated in a safe and courteous manner and represent the company in a positive way to our residents and the public. · Complete all relevant training and certifications as required by regulations. · Maintain regular contact with engineering support, booking coordinators and colleagues to obtain instructions and resolve working problems. · Record completed works within online operating system and maintain accurate record of work carried out. Skills / Attributes Required: Minimum NVQ Level 2 with post qualification experience & Gas Safe Qualifications Hold a full UK manual driving license and be confident driving Domestic experience required Competent with all plumbing diagnostics, servicing, maintenance & repair Experience in bathroom installations Strong customer skills Desired: Qualified installer of vented and unvented cylinders Competent in full wall and floor tiling Experience managing own workload Ability to work confidently in high end properties Benefits: Company car Company pension Schedule: Monday to Friday Overtime Weekend availability Licence/Certification: CSCS (preferred) Driving Licence (preferred) Gas Safe Qualification (preferred)
