Management Accountant

My client is a market-leading, specialist manufacturer with a commitment to product development to maintain it's international market position. It has an enviable client portfolio, a first class reputation and is known as an employer of choice. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced & commercial Management Accountant to join the established and capable finance team, initially for a 12 month term to cover maternity. However, due to continued revenue growth, there is a strong chance this could be extended and become a permanent role at the successful completion of the intial term. Reporting to the Head of FP&A your role will be clearly focused on reporting, analysis and partnering across sales, production and overheads. So experience across these areas is essential - as is strong Excel expertise and SAP / ERP experience would be a big advantage. Duties will be varied, including ad hoc investigation and analysis, the following:- Monthly Reporting on Sales & Margin, Overheads & Balance Sheet Attendance at Month End review meetings Direct involvement in production, consolidation, reporting & analysis of the periodic forecasts for Sales and Overheads Support business decisions and new business cases by developing tools to improve sales and profitability forecasting and planning. Driving process standardisation Reviewing, collating and reporting of commercial overheads, challenging any key variances Whilst a recognised qualification would be ideal, it is recognised that the experience is far more important than a formal qualification particularly in line with the budget. The role is based in Blackburn with Darwen and is hybrid. 3 office days are expected although it is anticipated that a greater presence may be required early in the contract to establish relationships and systems & process training.
