Job Title: Effluent Treatment Plant Operator Salary: £35,000 p/a Location: Lacock, Wiltshire Working Hours: 4on4off, Days & Nights (06:00–18:00 / 18:00–06:00) Join Our Team as an Effluent Treatment Plant Operator Are you passionate about water treatment and sustainability? We are seeking a dedicated Effluent Treatment Plant Operator to manage the day-to-day operations of a new Water Treatment Plant, ensuring trade effluent discharge complies with environmental standards. Your Role: As an Effluent Treatment Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining plant operations and compliance with regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain effluent treatment equipment, including inspections, cleaning, and testing. Monitor plant processes to ensure efficiency and make necessary adjustments. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues. Manage waste handling, disposal, and chemical stock control. Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with environmental standards. Maintain plant housekeeping and support daily operations. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in effluent treatment plant operations or similar roles. Knowledge of DAF clarifiers, water testing, and equipment maintenance. COSHH and pump repair knowledge (desirable). Forklift truck certification (desirable). Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.
