Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Oracle Applications Admin with DevOps expertise to manage Oracle EBS environments and implement DevOps practices to streamline workflows. The role involves administration of Oracle Applications, automation of deployments, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities : Oracle Apps Administration : - Manage Oracle EBS (R12 / Cloud) environments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and cloning. - Monitor and optimize Oracle databases and middleware components. - Handle concurrent processing, system workflows, and custom application integrations. - Provide performance tuning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. DevOps Practices : - Implement CI/CD pipelines for Oracle applications using Jenkins, Git, or similar tools. - Automate infrastructure deployment using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet. - Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth releases and deployments. - Manage version control, automated builds, and configuration management. Monitoring & Troubleshooting : - Use monitoring tools (i.e., Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus) to maintain system stability and uptime. - Analyze logs and proactively resolve performance issues. - Conduct root cause analysis of production incidents and implement preventive measures. Collaboration & Documentation : - Coordinate releases and updates with cross-functional teams (DBA, DevOps, and functional consultants). - Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting. - Train team members and share best practices for Oracle and DevOps management. Required Skills : - 6 years of experience in Oracle Applications (EBS R12/Cloud) administration. - Strong expertise in Oracle databases, SQL, PL/SQL, WebLogic, and middleware administration. - Proficiency with DevOps tools : Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, etc. - Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting and system administration. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - In-depth understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and containerization. Preferred Skills : - Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms. - Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Grafana, or Prometheus. - Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. - ITIL or DevOps certifications (ref:hirist.tech)
