IT Operations Manager - AWS

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced AWS Operations Manager to lead our Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC) teams. The role focuses on designing and implementing cloud operations strategies that align with business objectives, enhancing service reliability, and optimizing cloud resources. Key Responsibilities : Leadership & Team Management : - Lead and mentor DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Quality Assurance (QA) teams. - Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within cloud operations. Cloud Operations Strategy : - Develop and implement strategies to optimize cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD processes. - Align cloud operations initiatives with business objectives. Incident Management : - Manage incident resolution processes to ensure timely and effective responses. - Collaborate with internal and customer teams to enhance service reliability and performance. Security & Compliance : - Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards across cloud operations. Cost Optimization : - Manage cloud costs and resource utilization through effective planning and monitoring. Performance Tracking : - Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for cloud operations. - Provide regular performance updates to stakeholders. Stakeholder Management : - Serve as a primary contact for cloud performance metrics. - Build strong vendor relationships and maintain regular updates to leadership. Required Qualifications : - 7 years of IT experience with 3 years in cloud operations (preferably AWS). - 3 years of experience in managing production operations for globally distributed cloud infrastructure. - Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams and projects. - Hands-on experience with AWS services (i.e., VPC, EC2, EBS, RDS, ALB, ASG, IAM, S3) and Linux. - Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (i.e. , Terraform, CloudFormation). - Familiarity with monitoring and managing complex production environments. - Experience with monitoring and log management tools (i.e., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana). - Proficiency in automation for routine operational tasks. Preferred/Good-to-Have Qualifications : - AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.) - Experience in regulated industries and managing high-availability systems. - Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience. - ITIL certification (ref:hirist.tech)
