Director, Data - Global The purpose of the Director, Data - Global role is to own, shape, and deliver the companys data strategy while ensuring the data platform evolves to meet current and future business needs. Main Responsibilities : Define and deliver the global data strategy to support the companys growth aspirations. Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure the platform and capabilities are aligned with strategic goals. Oversee the agile data development team responsible for building, maintaining, and running the Snowflake-based data platform. Establish and embed a data governance, security, and compliance framework across the organization. Enable business teams with high-quality, self-service data tools to facilitate insights and decision-making. Stay ahead of advancements in data technologies and methodologies, introducing innovations as needed. Manage budgets, resources, and team development to support ongoing data initiatives. The Stuff That Sets You Apart Experience and Skills Must-Haves: Extensive experience in data strategy, governance, and platform operations. Expertise in modern data platforms, particularly Snowflake. Proven leadership of cross-functional and agile teams. Strong collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders. A track record of building and embedding governance, security, and compliance frameworks. Nice to Haves: Experience in the retail or fashion industry. Familiarity with large-scale data migration or modernization projects. Knowledge of advanced analytics, including AI and machine learning. Soft Skills: Strategic mindset with the ability to think both short and long term. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
