Release Manager - CI/CD Pipeline

Key Responsibilities : Release Planning and Coordination : - Develop and maintain a release calendar, coordinating with product, engineering, and operations teams to plan, schedule, and execute releases. - Facilitate release readiness reviews, including risk assessments, quality assurance sign-offs, and stakeholder approvals. Deployment Management : - Oversee deployment processes, ensuring they adhere to best practices for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). - Manage the implementation of new releases into production, ensuring minimal disruption to customers and adherence to service-level agreements. Communication and Collaboration : - Act as the central point of contact for release activities, providing regular updates to stakeholders and resolving conflicts. - Collaborate with engineering, product management, QA, and support teams to address challenges, resolve blockers, and mitigate risks. Process Improvement : - Continuously evaluate and refine the release process to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability. - Implement tools and practices that enhance automation, monitoring, and reporting within the release pipeline. Incident Management : - Ensure rollback procedures and contingency plans are in place to address issues during or after a release. - Lead post-release reviews to document lessons learned and drive corrective actions. Compliance and Documentation : - Ensure release management processes comply with industry regulations and company policies. - Maintain detailed documentation of release plans, configurations, and decisions to support transparency and auditability. Qualifications : Required : - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience in release management, project management, or software engineering, preferably in a SaaS environment. - Solid understanding of agile software development methodologies. - Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience with security testing best practices (SAST, DAST, OWASP, Vulnerability) and tools including SonarQube, Veracode, Zap etc. and implement security gates in delivery pipelines. - Strong organizational and time-management abilities. - Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. - Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with attention to detail. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. - Leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Preferred : - Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA). - Certification in ITIL, Agile, or DevOps practices. - Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog) and incident management platforms (e.g., PagerDuty).
