Front Office Analyst Developer Commodities Trading Houston, TX We are looking for a Front Office Analyst Developer to join a dynamic Power Trading Desk in Houston. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with traders, building tools, applications, and extracting critical data to enhance decision-making. If you’re passionate about coding, problem-solving, and learning the power markets, this role is for you. What You’ll Do: Collaborate with traders to build tools, applications, and data solutions that improve workflows. Develop Python scripts for data extraction, processing, and visualization. Use UI tools like Plotly to create intuitive visualizations. Extract and process market data, writing efficient code to deliver actionable insights. Independently execute tasks: take ownership, develop solutions, and deliver results. Learn the power markets directly from the trading desk while applying your technical skills. Qualifications: 1-2 years of commercial experience with Python scripting . Strong analytical background (degree in Mathematics , Physics , or a related field preferred). Experience with UI tools like Plotly for data visualization. Excellent communication skills: confident working with traders and explaining technical concepts. Proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Curious and eager to learn about power trading and energy markets. Why This Role?
