Job Description

SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Deal Salary: 100 a day Join our dedicated Special Emotional Mental Health school, committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to empower every student to achieve their full potential. Day-to-day of the role: Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students. Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment. Support students with personal care needs, if required. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers. Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable. A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are preferred. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
