Role Profile: This role will have responsibility for directing the movement and loading/unloading of lorries and directing the movement of mobile plant. As banksman you will also control the movements of excavator or other mobile plant, by carefully monitoring the bucket for any obstructions and other vehicle movements and pedestrians. Experienced in using practical techniques and hand signals to assist drivers in all manoeuvres. Ensure pedestrian routes are adhered to. Ensure visibility by wearing hi visible clothing, such as reflective trousers /shirt/coat at all times. Always have clear and effective communication with drivers through use of the 2-way radio.
