Water Hygiene Technician

WATER HYGIENE TECHNICIAN OR WATER TREATMENT ENGINEER NEEDED FOR GROWING LEGIONELLA AND WATER SAFETY SPECIALIST. TITLE: Water Hygiene Technician – Water Treatment & Legionella Safety PACKAGE: £26,000 - £27,000 salary – depending on experience. Opportunity for overtime but not required. Training and qualifications provided. Vans, tools, PPE, and fuel supplied. 22 days holiday 8 bank holidays and pension scheme. HOURS: Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (early finish) LOCATION: Northwest England – Suitable areas include Warrington, Preston, Liverpool, Manchester, Wirral, Wigan, Salford, etc. PREVIOUS ROLES: Water Hygiene Technician, Water Treatment Engineer, Trainee Water Hygiene Technician, Apprentice Plumber, Legionella Risk Assessor, Water Hygiene Engineer, Water Treatment Technician, Cleaner, Site Operative, Site Technician PREVIOUS INDUSTRIES: Water Hygiene, Water Treatment, Water Monitoring, Water Regulations, Legionella Treatment, Legionella Control, Legionella Safety, Plumbing, Construction, Cleaning, Health and Safety ROLE: As a Water Hygiene Technician focusing on Water Treatment & Legionella Control, you will perform tasks such as tank cleaning, TMV servicing, shower cleaning, draining, and calorifier inspection and cleaning. The role involves traveling across the North West, including areas like Merseyside, Manchester, Lancashire, and Cheshire. Most jobs will be within a 15-20 minute drive. EXPERIENCE: Ideally, you will have at least 1 year of experience in water hygiene maintenance tasks such as tank inspection and cleaning, valve servicing, and water sampling. A NVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing or Water Hygiene, or a related qualification, is highly beneficial. Familiarity with ACOP L8 guidelines and legionella awareness training is advantageous. You should be eager to develop your skills and committed to professional growth. This role requires willingness to travel around the North West. A valid UK driving license and at least 2 years of driving experience are essential.
