Location: Totton, Southampton Job Type: Full-time Salary: £13.50 per hour Working Hours: Day shift 8am – 8pm / Night shift 8pm - 8am (Flexible with working days; at least 1 weekend a month required) Job Summary: Gap Healthcare is currently recruiting for a dedicated Support Worker on behalf of our client based in Ipswich. We are looking for a compassionate individual to provide 2:1 care for individuals with Autism, mental health issues, self-harm behaviours, and ligature risks. Key Responsibilities: Personalised Support: Provide intensive 2:1 support for daily activities and personal care. Offer emotional support and manage anxiety and stress. Implement individualized care plans. Collaborate with healthcare providers and maintain accurate records. Attend training on Autism, mental health, self-harm, and ligature. Work closely with healthcare providers, therapists, and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Encourage participation in community activities and social interactions to enhance quality of life. Essential: Minimum 1 year of care experience. Knowledge of Autism, mental health issues, self-harm, and ligature risks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Desirable: Health and Social Care qualifications.
