Senior Detail Designer - Electrical

Job Title: Senior Detail Designer - Electrical Location: Glasgow Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours (hybid options) Primary Industry: Engineering Secondary Industry: Military and Defence Job Duties: The Senior Detail Designer - Electrical will be responsible for creating detailed designs and technical drawings for electrical systems in engineering projects, with a focus on military and defence applications. This includes interpreting technical specifications, collaborating with engineers and other team members, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Required Qualifications: Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field Demonstrated experience in detail design within the engineering sector Proficiency in FORAN CAD software and other design tools Strong understanding of electrical systems and components Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or HND with relevant experience Experience: At least 5 years of experience in detail design for electrical systems Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of industry standards and regulations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Professional certification in design or engineering Working Conditions: The role of Senior Detail Designer - Electrical may involve working in an office environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and occasional site visits.
