English Teacher Location: Bedford Start Date: January 2025 Salary: £32,000 - £45,000 Job Type: Permanent We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Corby. This full-time position is set to begin in January 2025. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality English education in line with the national curriculum. Day-to-day of the role: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons that meet the national curriculum standards. Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development. Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and student participation. Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring they are fully equipped to achieve their target grades. Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for effective teaching and learning. Attend and contribute to department meetings, parent evenings, and other school events as required. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. A degree in a relevant subject (English Language or Literature). Previous experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4; experience with Key Stage 5 is desirable. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
