Mass Properties Engineer

Mass Properties Engineer / Weight Engineer / Airframe Mass Properties Engineer / Weight Engineer Tiro Partners is seeking a Mass Properties Engineer or Weight Engineer with experience in airframe structure development to further bolster our clients expanding team. This position is a 12 month rolling contract (OUTSIDE IR35), and supports hybrid working; 3 days per week on site in Bristol. Candidates MUST be eligible for full UK unrestricted SC clearance. Hourly rate of pay - £37.60 Job Spec: Provide component and detailed mass properties (weight, centre of gravity, inertia) and contribute to the component optimisation process. Define weight status, target weights (detailed parts and component level), route to target and track weight risk & opportunities. Calculate delivery component weight, and perform actual weight and balance measurement on detail parts, assemblies and components. Contribute in design reviews, weight maturity reviews and weight savings.
