Accounts Semi-Senior

Role: Accounts Semi-Senior Location: Chard Salary: £24-30k DOE Role Overview Joining this firm as an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will be supporting the Senior team members in managing client accounts and helping them navigate financial challenges. You will primarily be responsible for preparing statutory/management accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping, and other essential accounting duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to broaden their experience and take on more responsibility in a really supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Preparation of statutory and management accounts Handling client queries and providing support on accounting matters Assisting in tax computations and returns Bookkeeping, VAT returns, and other day-to-day financial tasks Liaising with clients and maintaining strong relationships Helping train and supervise junior staff when necessary Skills & Experience AAT qualified and/or studying towards the ACA/ACCA or an equivalent qualification Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks Thanks for considering an application.
