FP&A Accountant

Reed Accountancy & Finance is actively seeking a highly analytical and strategic Interim FP&A Analyst for a 3-month assignment with our client in Folkestone. This role is ideal for someone with a robust background in financial planning and analysis, who can deliver insightful financial data to influence strategic decisions. FP&A Analyst Day-to-day of the role: Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and guide long-term business planning. Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, forecast performance, and provide actionable insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and understand business drivers. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages. Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, and identify areas for performance improvement. Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Support the month-end and year-end close process as it relates to FP&A activities. Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required. FP&A Analyst Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a financial planning and analysis role. Strong understanding of financial statements and financial modeling techniques. High proficiency in Excel and financial software applications. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritise workload. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus. FP&A Analyst Benefits: Competitive salary for the duration of the assignment.
