Plant Fitter

URGENT IMMEDIATE START We are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter with fabrication/welding experience to carry out maintenance and repairs on a busy quarry aggregate site. Basic knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics is preferred. Basic electric knowledge would be beneficial. Previous lorry or train technician experience would be considered. This will be a physically demanding job in a dusty/dirty environment. You must have a NVQ level 3 in welding /fabrication plus Loading Shovel and Machine Operator to NVQ level 2. Person Specification A highly motivated individual with drive and enthusiasm Ability to work as part of a 7 day a week operation as required. Experienced fitter who is also skilled in welding, cutting and fabricating techniques with tech qualification, NVQ3 or equivalent. Excellent communication and team working skills Ability to plan and implement maintenance schedules and good working knowledge of engineering drawings. Good understanding of health and safety including environmental Good organising skills IT literacy and ability to work to deadlines. Ability to work flexibly. Hours and Work Pattern 40 hrs per week £20/hr 6:30 am - 3pm subject to change OT available between 3pm - 5pm Permanent position will be offered to the right person
