Description Job Opportunity: Trade Counter Assistant Location: Lowestoft, NR33 ⏰ Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 4:30pm Salary: £30,000 bonus Perks: Free on-site parking, 20 days holiday 8 bank holidays, company wide bonus scheme, Pension contributions. As a Trade Counter Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our clients business, ensuring every customer interaction is fast, friendly, and professional. From upselling products to maintaining the shopfront, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving sales and enhancing the customer experience. This dynamic role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to tackle a variety of tasks. Requirements Competent IT skills and good typing abilities. Physically fit and capable of moving heavy loads. Previous experience in the construction industry or familiarity with construction materials is a plus (training provided if not). Personality Traits: A ‘people person’ who thrives on building relationships and solving problems. Resilient under pressure with a professional and positive attitude. Strong communicator and attentive listener with attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Trade Counter Sales: Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests at the Trade Counter. Advise customers and direct them to the products they need. Upsell and cross-sell products to boost turnover. Process all transactions accurately using our system. Maintain a clean and well-stocked shopfront. Assist with answering customer calls and providing solutions. Help with picking and packing products for collection.
