Import Manager DBN (With Systems Knowledge - please read duties)

My client from a Freight Forwarding Company is seeking an Import Manager for Seafreight This will be overseeing A-Z of Sea Imports but the Manager will also be involved in: System Responsibilities for an Import Manager: Facilitate and comprehend data exchange between internal systems and partner companies. Ensure proper maintenance of user rights and access within the Logistics system. Develop an understanding of the software system and collaborate with the software provider to resolve issues and streamline operations. Implement automated processes for creating documents, customs declarations, invoicing, and more to boost efficiency. Uphold security best practices to safeguard sensitive company data. Oversee shipment tracking systems and deliver timely reports on logistics performance and departmental activities, including setting up new users and maintaining existing ones. Manage communication and updates remarks providing real-time updates between suppliers, transporters, and customs. Leverage data to optimize operations and produce performance and audit reports. Administer cloud-based systems for document sharing and real-time updates. Train staff on logistics software and offer continuous system support. Supervise regular system updates, enhancements, and process reviews to streamline operations. Stay current on emerging technologies to improve logistics operations. Matric Minimum 5 years relevant Management experience
