Practo - Software Engineer II - Android Frameworks

Responsibilities : - Design and develop high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Android Java technologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. - Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. - Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. - Mentor junior developers and assist in their professional growth. - Work closely with product management and design teams to create intuitive user interfaces and engaging user experiences. - Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards. - Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in mobile development. Role Specifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 3 - 4 years of overall experience in Android application development. - Proficiency in Kotlin and Android Java programming languages. - Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related tools. - Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. - Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. - Experience with version control systems such as Git. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
