Google Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Title : Cloud Platform Engineer. 7 Years and Noida location. Key Responsibilities : Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) : - Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. - Ensure smooth integration of code changes and rapid deployment of applications. Infrastructure Management : - Manage and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. - Configure and monitor cloud environments (e.g, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises servers. Monitoring and Performance Optimization : - Experience with SRE best practices. - Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions (e.g, Prometheus, Grafana). - Analyze system performance and application metrics to identify and address bottlenecks. Collaboration and Communication : - Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide operational support. - Facilitate communication between development, operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment. Automation and Scripting : - Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and processes. - Use scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes. Security and Compliance : - Implement and enforce security best practices and policies for application and infrastructure. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g, PII, PCI, GDPR, HIPAA). Incident Management and Troubleshooting : - Respond to and resolve operational issues, outages, and incidents. - Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid future incidents. Configuration Management and Documentation/Reporting : - Manage application configurations and environment settings to ensure consistency across development, testing, and production environments. - Document network configurations, policies, and procedures. - Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and upgrades. - Maintain an inventory of Servers, routers, firewalls, Virtual Machines, network assets and resources in CMDB. Security Management : - Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities. - Respond to and manage security breaches or threats. Collaboration and Coordination : - Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to implement and upgrade network solutions. - Coordinate with other departments to ensure network solutions align with business needs. - Participate in project planning and management activities related to network infrastructure. Required Skills and Qualifications : Technical Skills : - Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g, Cloudbuild, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI). - Proficiency in Google Cloud - Cloud functions. - Experience with containerization technologies (e.g, Docker, Kubernetes). - Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g Google Cloud, AWS, Azure and VMWare). - Familiarity with IaC tools (e.g, Terraform, Ansible). - Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) - Knowledge of network management tools and software. Analytical Skills : - Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve network issues. - Ability to analyze network performance metrics and make necessary adjustments. Communication Skills/ Soft Skills : - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and support. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Education and Experience : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience in Platform Engineering for a development, IT Production operations, or a related role. Preferred Qualifications : - Certifications related to cloud platforms (e.g, Google Cybersecurity Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert). - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Familiarity with security practices and tools.
