Would you like to be part of the project? We are currently looking for a Junior Procurement Category Buyer fluent in German Speaking to join Applus Corporate. What will your day to day be like? Procurement Category Buying: Supplier Sourcing & Selection : Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers within assigned categories, ensuring they meet company requirements in terms of quality, cost, and delivery time Request for Quotations (RFQs) : Issue RFQs to suppliers, collect, and compare quotes to ensure best value and alignment with budgetary constraints Purchase Orders (PO) Management : Create, manage, and monitor purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in terms of quantity, price, and delivery schedules Vendor Negotiations : Support in negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, contract terms, and delivery conditions Category Strategy Implementation : Assist in the implementation of category-specific procurement strategies aligned with overall business objectives Procurement Administration: Data Management : Maintain procurement records, including supplier details, contracts, pricing agreements, and product/service specifications Compliance : Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices Invoice Reconciliation : Assist in resolving any discrepancies between purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices, working with finance and suppliers Supplier Performance Monitoring : Track supplier performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery time, quality, and service Reporting : Generate regular procurement reports, including spend analysis, savings tracking, and supplier performance reports for management Process Improvement & Support: Support Procurement Projects : Assist with procurement projects, including cost-saving initiatives, contract renewals, and supplier consolidation efforts Process Optimization : Contribute ideas to improve the efficiency of procurement processes, such as automating routine tasks or improving documentation workflows Cross-Departmental Coordination : Collaborate with other departments, including finance, production, and logistics, to ensure smooth procurement operations Catalog Management & Maintenance: Product Catalog Creation : Assist in the creation and maintenance of internal product/service catalogs to ensure the accurate representation of available items from approved suppliers. Catalog Updates : Regularly update the procurement catalog with new items, price changes, stock levels, discontinued products, and supplier details to keep the database current Data Accuracy : Ensure that product descriptions, specifications, pricing, and supplier information are correctly entered and consistently maintained in procurement systems Catalog Review : Periodically review supplier catalogs to verify that the products and services meet organizational needs and are aligned with contractual terms Supplier Catalog Integration : Collaborate with suppliers to obtain up-to-date catalogs and facilitate the integration of supplier data into internal systems for streamlined procurement processes User Support : Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding catalog inquiries, providing support for system navigation and product selection What will your day to day be like? University degree in Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 1-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations preferred Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel for data management and reporting) Proficiency in English, German and Spanish.
