Description:

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services is looking for a responsible, detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be managing the intake process for new referrals, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient information, and facilitating communication between various team members as well as patients and caregivers. This Full-Time role offers a rate of $25 per hour in addition to the benefits listed below. Intake Specialist Job Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

  • Collect patient information and verify accuracy
  • Respond promptly to patient or caregiver inquiries
  • Contact insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain authorization
  • Assist with appeals and prior authorization processes
  • Assist with additional office duties as directed by supervisor

Requirements:

**Candidate MUST live in the state of Massachusetts or Rhode Island and be able to commute to the Mansfield office**

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in as an Intake Specialist in a home healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
  • Customer service and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer programs, such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, professional demeanor
  • Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with patients, caregivers and families in a respectful and compassionate manner
