The Role: Project Control Engineer (P6 Expertise and Analytical Skills Required) Are you ready to immerse yourself in a career that truly matters? We’re looking for a passionate and driven Project Control Engineer with expertise in Primavera P6 and strong analytical abilities to join our dynamic team. As a Project Control Engineer at Walker Sime, you’ll play a vital role in managing costs and delivering exceptional project outcomes, including a transformative program aimed at rejuvenating our rivers, enhancing ecosystems, and fostering community pride. Your Day-to-Day: Cost Planning and Management: Develop and manage comprehensive cost plans for each project using P6 and other industry-standard tools. Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with Project Engineers and Managers to ensure cohesive project delivery. Schedule and Budget Control: Utilise your P6 skills to manage project schedules and budgets effectively, ensuring alignment with TCQi (Time, Cost, Quality, and Innovation) standards. Analytical Insight: Provide detailed cost analysis and forecasts to guide decision-making and optimize project outcomes. Multi-Disciplinary Leadership: Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver investment programs that protect and enhance our natural water resources. Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with governance requirements and maintain a high standard of quality throughout project delivery. Risk and Change Management: Identify risks, manage changes, and implement strategies to keep projects on track. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive project success. Supply Chain Coordination: Oversee relationships with the supply chain, ensuring alignment with cost and delivery goals. Progress Reporting: Deliver regular progress reports and updates, maintaining transparency with all stakeholders. Supportive Leadership: Promote a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement within the team. What We’re Looking For: Education and Experience: Degree level or equivalent industry experience, with qualifications in APM or equivalent. NEC3/NEC4 qualifications or progress towards them are desirable. P6 Mastery: Advanced experience in Primavera P6 for cost and schedule management is essential. Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Sector Experience: Ideally, experience in the Water, Environmental, or Utilities sectors. Communication and Leadership: Exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to inspire and lead teams.
