About the Team The Fraud Platform team’s mission is to provide scalable and reliable data and infrastructure to empower DoorDash teams to create fraud-free experiences. It’s a foundational team that sits at the intersection of many other teams, serving our anti-fraud needs. Risk data is at the core of the Fraud Platform and aims to provide accurate, fresh, consistent and compliant data for all business use cases to combat fraud. This high visibility team provides the big data solutions that impact DoorDash’s business. It also serves as the foundation for ML-based smart decision-making framework to detect and prevent fraud. About the Role As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee a talented group of engineers, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, operations, and other cross-functional partners. Your primary responsibility will be driving the successful execution of our product roadmap, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet both customer needs and business objectives. You will be key in fostering a collaborative and cross-functional work environment and promoting effective communication and synergy amongst team members. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can balance technical excellence with business priorities. Collaborate with Product Managers, Business leaders, and key stakeholders to determine the team's roadmap and vision, and manage execution against that roadmap. Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of 5. Encourage innovation, teamwork, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, and outside-of-the-box thinking. Oversee the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team. We're excited about you because you have… BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field. 2 years of experience in people management leading backend teams of 5 engineers. 7 years of industry experience. Experience working with remote teams in different time zone(s) and fluency in English. Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment. Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization. Hands-on leadership and strong product intuition.
