Job Description

Qualification Matric Bachelors degree in Accounting Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in Financial Management role Must have experience in the Transport industry Duties Preparing financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts. Monitoring financial details to ensure legal requirements are met. Supervising employees who do financial reporting and budgeting. Reviewing financial reports and seeking ways to reduce costs. Analyzing market trends to maximize profits and find expansion opportunities. Helping management make financial decisions. Cashflow planning. Releasing payments & transferring funds between accounts. Petty cash. Maintaining asset register and depreciation. Credit card cashbook. Salary account cashbook. Overseeing & Managing staff associated with the following areas: Insurance Debtors Creditors Payroll journals and reconciliations Balance sheet reconciliations Current portion loans Interest & accounting calculations Loan accounts VAT recon, Submissions & audits Amortization schedules Stats SA Reporting Budgeting Standard bank audit Annual audit Rate increases Debtors Processing credit notes, cancelling sales order Creditors Signing off invoices and recons IT Maintaining & setting up Pastel, IT related planning & replacements, Pastel user rights & new user for group at large, Locating pastel databases for group at large. Performs all other related duties as required. Section 24 Manager EE Management & Implementation. BEE overview and compliance.
