Travel Pharmacist - $3,100 per week in Austin, TX

Job Title: Pharmacist Job Specialty: - Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30pm-7:am- Variable 10-12 Hr. Shift / Variable Night Shift and Weekend Rotation- 7 days on and 7 off Guaranteed Hours: 40.00 Experience: - 2 years hospital staff pharmacist experience required (Pediatric experience preferred) License: - RPH certification from the state of Texas required Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Ph.D. Pharm. D. degree - 40 hours of training in compounding sterile products preferred Must-Have: - Proficient in medication dose appropriateness and order entry - Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control - Ability to complete annual re-certification for sterile product compounding Job Description: - Promote pharmaceutical care by managing the medication process, identifying and preventing potential drug-related problems, and resolving actual drug-related problems. - Ensure accuracy of medication doses based on patient's diagnosis, weight, allergies, and drug interactions. - Enter medication orders accurately into the computer system to prevent medication incidents. - Verify correct medications are dispensed to patients and avoid any dispensing errors. - Process medication orders according to established guidelines and ensure timely delivery. - Practice aseptic technique and infection control in preparing sterile products and ensure compliance among staff. - Hold a valid, unrestricted license as a licensed practitioner to conduct clinical activities. - Bachelor's degree or Ph.D. in Pharmacy and RPH certification from Texas required. - 40 hours of accredited training in compounding sterile products preferred.
