Accountant

We are seeking an accomplished Accountant to support the Accounting & Finance department. This role is crucial to maintaining our not-for-profit organisation's financial health and integrity. Client Details This not-for-profit organisation is a medium-sized educational institution located in Reading. The organisation prides itself on providing top-tier education and nurturing an inclusive and supportive community. Description Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting & Finance department, including but limited to management accounts, year-end accounts, payroll, VAT, and tax. Help produce financial reports and statements for management review. Support the budgeting and forecasting process. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles Coordinate and complete annual audits Participate in financial standards setting and forecast process Support month-end and year-end close process Profile A successful Accountant should have: An accounting qualification(acca, aca, cima, QBE) or similar Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in accounting software Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Job Offer An estimated salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 per year A wide range of benefits.
