Design Manager Manchester (hybrid) Salary depends on experience Benefits package 2-stage interview (Virtual -> F2F) Are you a talented Design Manager ready to tackle challenges in a power generation environment? Our client is looking for someone to join a dynamic team, where they'll apply expertise across UK Sales and Projects Business, ensuring that the Projects are designed in a cost-effective way as measured by the management accounts. Your responsibilities: You will oversee all engineering-related activities within the Sales and Projects department and be accountable for delivering individual projects on budget. Creating comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and process engineering design packages to support the design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of energy systems such as Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants, Tri-generation facilities, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and emerging technologies. You will also provide technical input throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial sales discussions through ongoing service support. And a few things you should know: Proficiency as a process engineer with at least two years' experience in power generation, process engineering, electrical distribution, building services, pipework and ventilation design, CDM regulations, and health & safety standards. A track record of successfully managing and developing technical aspects of energy projects. Demonstrated experience in leading engineering design functions in a safety-critical business environment. Prior experience managing a team of design engineers. Strong skills in resource planning and workload management. Competency in IT, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with AutoCAD or equivalent design software.
