Contract Manager Are you an experienced Contract Manager with a passion for driving performance, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional results? If so, we want to hear from you The Role As a Contract Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing Fuel Supply Contracts across Local Authority, Commercial & Industrial, and Merchant sectors. Your role will focus on ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and safety obligations while maintaining outstanding levels of performance and quality. Key Responsibilities: Manage all customer relationships to meet contractual and stakeholder expectations. Monitor, evaluate, and develop action plans to improve contract performance. Maintain and manage the contract risk register to ensure legislative and company policy compliance. Liaise with site management, fuel suppliers, and hauliers to ensure operational needs are met. Source fuel on optimal commercial terms, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. Develop contingency plans to address planned and unplanned outages. Lead on health, safety, and environmental matters, with full accountability for risk prevention. About You To succeed in this role, you’ll have a strong background in contract management, ideally within the waste management or environmental services sector. You’ll possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships. Essential Skills and Experience: Proven track record in contract management, including complex agreements. Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reporting. Ability to influence and drive change while managing conflicting priorities. High proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite. Full UK driving license. Desirable Skills and Experience: Knowledge of the waste management industry and its legislative framework. Experience with tender bid preparation and submission. Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH or IOSH)
