This is a full-time position starting in January 2025, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on student's education and future. Location: Leeds Start Date : January 2025 Pay Rate : £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered) Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary Maths. Eligibility to work in the UK. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one). Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and exam specifications. Skills: Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective classroom and behaviour management. Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice. Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success. Differentiate teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching resources. Promote positive behaviour and uphold school policies to maintain a safe learning environment. Engage with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address concerns. Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
