Teaching Assistant

Job role: Teaching Assistant Location: Kidderminster Salary: £90-100 / daily Start date: ASAP What is this role? First for Education are recruiting on behalf of a client school for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Key Stage 1 class at this school in Kidderminster. This is a role where the school are hoping to have someone in place ASAP as it is to support the class teacher as well as working alongside pupils with SEND or SEMH needs. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is willing to commit to a full-time position. What is required of you? You will be supporting in Key Stage 1 classes so experience of working with children of this age is essential. You may be required to work with lower ability, higher ability and SEND/SEMH children for phonics, numeracy and literacy interventions. You will need to support the class teacher in class and also doing cover supervision. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:45pm. What you’ll need to succeed: You must have a Level 3 or 2 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent. You will ideally have 2 years experience in a classroom setting although this is not essential. You must be confident in covering in the teachers absence. You must have strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
