Sen Teaching Assistant

An Ofsted-rated Good primary school in Stourbridge is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This rewarding role involves working on a 1:1 basis, supporting children with special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour. Role Highlights: Provide tailored support to children with SEN across different stages of the day. Implement strategies to encourage positive behaviour and engagement. Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to meet each child’s specific needs. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages pupils to achieve their full potential. Essential Requirements: Proven experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges. A proactive and adaptable approach to meet the varied needs of pupils. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents. A can-do attitude and a passion for making a difference in children’s lives. Desirable: Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent. Knowledge of de-escalation techniques or behaviour management strategies. Why Join Us?
