Sen Teaching Assistant

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Worthing Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday) A specialist school in Worthing is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with a range of needs including ADHD, Autism, Speech and Language Therapy, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, and general Special Educational Needs. If you're passionate about working with children and making a real difference in their lives, this role could be perfect for you Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide support to children with a variety of special educational needs, including ADHD, ASD, SEMH, and SLT. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans that meet individual student needs. Help create a positive and supportive environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic development. Work one-on-one with children who need additional support, as well as in small group settings. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for the students. Foster independence and confidence in children with SEND, helping them achieve their full potential.Requirements: Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential. A passion for supporting children with special educational needs, particularly ADHD, ASD, SEMH, and SLT. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
