Your new role As an IT Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organisation's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect sensitive data and systems. Main duties and responsibilities: Ensure a seamless and consistent delivery of cybersecurity services to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and technical standards. Translate cybersecurity requirements for Cloud & Server services into technical deliverables, considering industry trends and opportunities. Configure and monitor systems/services to provide data for cybersecurity KPIs/KRIs, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and alerting for incidents. Support the cybersecurity team in developing and measuring the organisation's cybersecurity posture against SLAs and board-set security appetite. Optimise the use of IT tools across the cybersecurity team to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, service availability, and security. Establish and maintain beneficial relationships with technology vendors and suppliers for timely third-party support. Collaborate with partners and suppliers to deliver innovative cybersecurity solutions and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. What you'll need to succeed The role is a technical security position which requires an understanding of: Cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure IaaS) Server, compute, and storage infrastructure (on-premise & hybrid) Virtualisation environments (e.g., Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare) Microsoft Windows Server roles (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, DFS, Group Policy) Microsoft 365 (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online) Mail & web filtering tools (e.g., Clearswift, Fortinet) VPN solutions (e.g., Microsoft Direct Access, Always on VPN) Remote Desktop Services & VDI solutions Backup & recovery solutions Antivirus solutions (e.g., SOPHOS, Microsoft Defender of Endpoint) Vulnerability assessment & scanning tools Database & data architecture (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server) Endpoint management solutions (e.g., Microsoft SCCM, Intune) Digital infrastructure monitoring solutions (e.g., SolarWinds, Azure Monitor) What you'll get in return Competitive salary and benefits package.
