Mechanic

Are you a skilled Mechanic? Can you assemble, maintain and repair machinery and vehicles to ensure that the machines, engines, and mechanical systems run smoothly. As an excellent mechanic you will have manual dexterity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and machinery while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities: Assemble and build machines or mechanical components based on specified requirements. Inspect machines, motors, tools, and equipment to ensure proper functionality. Perform repairs to enhance machine reliability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. Carry out routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems. Clean and lubricate machinery components as required. Advise machine or vehicle users on proper maintenance and preventative measures. Handle additional duties as assigned. Maintain accurate logs of work performed and report any issues. Take full responsibility for managing the tooling store. Requirements & Skills: Proven experience as a mechanic. In-depth knowledge of machinery, hydraulics, electrical systems, and their components. Proficient in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hammers) and precision measurement tools (e.g., callipers). Ability to follow established procedures and read instructions, blueprints, and manuals. Strong commitment to health and safety guidelines. Excellent communication and report-writing skills. Strong problem-solving abilities. Good physical strength and stamina. High school diploma preferred; vocational certification or apprenticeship completion is a plus. Previous experience in the timber industry or related machinery work is advantageous. Clean criminal record. Valid driver's license (preferably Code 10 or 14).
