Navy Trades Careers (No Experience)

Your role:

The Navy needs tradies to repair and maintain a wide range of military hardware on ships, submarines, helicopters and ashore.

Whether you already have a trade, you're an apprentice, or you have no experience at all, we're hiring. You’ll be paid to gain all the skills needed with extensive on-the-job trade training. You may also be able to utilise your existing qualifications and be eligible for recognition of prior learning.

• Electronics Technician:
  Maintain, diagnose and repair state of the art technology and military hardware including radars, sonars, satellite equipment, navigation aids, weapons systems or torpedo launchers.

• Marine Technician:
  Monitor and maintain engineering systems and machinery to ensure equipment and technical systems onboard ships or submarines run at optimum capacity.

• Aviation Technician:
  Maintain helicopter systems, equipment, transmissions, gear and structures.

• Aviation Systems Technician:
  Maintain helicopter anti-submarine systems, aircraft weapons and navigation systems.

Salary:

Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you’ll enjoy a salary package starting from $77,451 for surface fleet and $90,437 for submariners.
