Category Analyst

Hire Resolve's client, a leading player in the mining and resource sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Category Analyst to join their team in the Northern Cape . Responsibilities: Assist the Category Management Team in analysing customer-specific, market, and consumer data to develop sound business recommendations. Provide high-quality category management support to ensure business requirements are met. Implement predetermined commercial arrangements within defined categories, including: Technical assistance Performance tracking Data collection and processing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis Continuous improvement initiatives Planning and reporting Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Ensure SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) adherence and compliance in all areas of responsibility. Uphold professional work ethics and contribute to a high-performing team culture. Requirements: Qualifications: Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Supply Chain Management , Financial Management , Logistics , Engineering , or Law (Essential) Qualified Artisan with N4 Engineering Studies National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Supply Chain Management , Financial Management , Logistics , Engineering , or Law (Recommended) Experience: Minimum of 2 years operational experience in a technical environment (Essential) Minimum of 3 years operational technical analysis experience (data and root cause analysis) (Essential) Total of 5 years operational experience Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in MS Office Suite : Word (basic), Excel (advanced), PowerPoint (intermediate); JD Edwards (basic) Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to build relationships with employees, clients, management, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders Strong project management skills, including coordination, planning, and budget/cost management Ability to analyse data to identify and verify information for sound recommendations Technical knowledge of engineering, production processes, and mining operating principles Other Requirements: Valid Drivers License (Code B/EB) Medically fit to meet required standards.
