About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Senior Legal Counsel to join the legal team of a leading blue-chip technology company. As Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal advice across a broad range of legal aspects, with a primary focus on commercial law. You will manage a small team of legal professionals and oversee complex legal matters, ensuring legal risks are mitigated in line with the company’s corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal counsel on commercial contracts, intellectual property, data protection, corporate governance, and regulatory matters, with a strong emphasis on commercial law.
• Lead legal negotiations, drafting, and reviewing agreements with external partners, customers, and suppliers.
• Advise senior leadership on strategic business initiatives, M&A, and other corporate matters.
• Monitor and assess regulatory changes, advising the business on their implications.
• Manage a small team of legal professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in their professional development.
• Manage external legal counsel as needed, ensuring cost-effective legal support.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure legal risks are appropriately addressed in business decision-making.

About You:

• Qualified lawyer with years of experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, intellectual property, data privacy, and corporate governance.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior executives and business leaders.
• Strong business acumen and an ability to translate legal complexities into practical advice.
• Experience managing a small team, with a focus on mentoring and fostering professional growth.
• A proactive and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
