Credit Specialist

Key Responsibilities: Credit Strategy Development: Collaborate with leadership to design and implement credit strategies that align with portfolio objectives. Product Innovation: Research and develop credit product opportunities to enhance portfolio performance. Investment Decision-Making: Provide credit expertise and execute new transactions in partnership with asset managers. Portfolio Oversight: Benchmark and report on credit portfolio exposures, manage counterparty watchlists, and support transaction restructuring. Stakeholder Engagement: Work with asset managers to source unlisted asset opportunities and ensure adherence to mandates. Research & Valuation: Deliver market insights, prepare industry research, and assist in asset valuations. Internal Improvements: Develop and refine internal ratings scorecards and facilitate strategy implementation. Qualifications & Experience Required: Education: BCom, BBusSci, or equivalent. CA(SA) or CFA designation is a distinct advantage. Experience: At least 5 years in credit analysis with strong knowledge of fixed-income instruments and investments. Competencies: Professionalism with excellent attention to detail. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective planning, organizational, and communication skills. Team-oriented yet able to work independently. Client-focused with a strong commercial mindset. Resilient under pressure and results-driven. Why Consider This Role?
