Systems Administrator & Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Alerting and Escalation: Set up alerting mechanisms to proactively detect system incidents and failures. Escalate critical issues to the appropriate teams and stakeholders to ensure timely resolutions. Linux Administration and Maintenance: Manage and maintain Linux servers , including installation, configuration, patch management, and upgrades. Implement security measures and best practices to safeguard Linux-based systems. Active Directory Administration and Maintenance: Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory . Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the security and integrity of the AD infrastructure . DNS Administration and Maintenance: Configure and manage DNS servers and zones, ensuring reliable DNS resolution across the network. Troubleshoot and resolve DNS-related issues promptly. End-User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, resolving infrastructure-related issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity. Act as the go-to expert for quick resolution of technical problems. PostgreSQL Database Administration: Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases , including installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Perform routine tasks such as backups , restores , and database upgrades . Qualifications and Skills: 3 years of experience in a System Engineer or similar role. Strong expertise in Linux Administration , including shell scripting and troubleshooting. Experience with Active Directory administration and DNS management . Solid understanding of network administration . Familiarity with PostgreSQL database administration . Excellent communication skills with a knack for problem-solving . Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment , managing multiple tasks efficiently.
