Job Description
We are actively looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor from a construction background to work with a large and very well known main contractor on a high profile major building project in the Cardiff area.
The project value is in excess of 300 million pounds and will run for more than 3 years. The role will involve working closely with and reporting to the HSE lead on the project.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
* Inspecting site on a regular basis.Undertaking all accident/incident investigations, toolbox talks and induction training both internally and externally. Quality, environmental and sustainability form a large part of my day-to-day business.
* provide support and guidance to all functions within the business including human resources, plant and buying department.
* Reviewing and updating existing documentation to ensure visual standards are maintained and statutory inspection documentation procedure remains in date.
* Reviewing the Business Management Systems (Policy and Procedures) and conducting internal audits.
* Liasing with HSE where required.
* Ensuring temporary works procedures to ensure designs are suitable and sufficient.
* Being very commercially aware of the environment .
* Review all sub-contractors’ safe systems of work.
