About the role: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a well-established primary school in Waltham Forest, starting in January 2025. As an HLTA, you will support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support to students, helping them achieve their full potential. Your role will also involve leading small group sessions, supporting children with SEN, and ensuring that the classroom environment is conducive to learning.

Application Requirements: To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
• A passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their learning.
• A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive and patient approach to supporting children with varying needs.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons.
• Support individual and small group interventions for students with additional learning needs.
• Provide pastoral support and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Work with the class teacher to monitor and assess student progress.
• Help to implement behavioural strategies where necessary.
