Job Description
Job Title: Part Time Finance Manager
Role Overview:
The Finance Manager will oversee the internal financial accounting, budgeting, and reporting processes while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The role includes financial analysis, forecasting, cost reduction strategies, and managing key relationships with external stakeholders. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for driving improvements in financial practices and optimising business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage internal financial accounting systems, monitoring, and reporting processes.
Prepare and manage budgets and forecast reports.
Analyse financial reports and present key findings to the board.
Supervise the preparation of financial reports and budget management.
Review company financial performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for profit maximisation and business expansion.
Identify financial risks, propose solutions, and manage stakeholder expectations.
Research and analyse factors influencing business performance.
Prepare and present statutory accounts up to Trial Balance level.
Handle payroll, VAT returns, HMRC submissions, and weekly cash flow forecasts.
Oversee purchase and sales ledger management.
Take responsibility for accounts receivable and payable ledgers.
Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and other necessary accounting entries.
Manage the audit process, ensuring current systems are ready for external review.
Ensure compliance with legal financial requirements.
Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, solicitors, bankers, and statutory bodies.
Drive continuous improvement in accounting practices and financial systems.Desired Qualities and Skills:

AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
