• £35,000 - £40,000 salary guideline depending on experience.

We are looking for a talented Management Accountant to join a well-established, modern, and growing accountancy practice in Rutland. You will play an integral part of the team delivering a range of commercial and accounting services to a wide range of clients throughout the UK. The Management Accountant job will involve:

• Carrying out month-end tasks including:

• Reviewing the P&L account and investigating variances to budgets/expected balances
• Reviewing the balance sheet to ensure control accounts are correctly reconciled
• Entering month end journals for prepayments, accruals, work in progress and deferred income

Running monthly management reports to include financial statements and other required schedules e.g., headcount, capital expenditure, inventory levelsProducing cost centre reports and consolidated group accounts, where appropriateUpdating forecast models with month end actual dataAssisting with annual budgeting for certain clients, loading budgets into management reporting application and accounting softwarePreparing reports to support claims for government grant funding for research and development work

This Management Accountant job will suit:

• AAT/CIMA/ACA/ACCA or similar accountancy qualifications would be greatly beneficial
• Previous experience within a similar Management Accountant position.
• Strong IT knowledge Specific Xero / Fathom experience would be beneficial, but we can look at similar accounting software packages.
• Good communicator, comfortable working with customers and the wider team.

This job is commutable from Rutland, Oakham, Melton Mowbray, Stamford and the surrounding areas
