Finance Business Partner

HRC are delighted to be partnered with our well known and established Scottish client. This role is paying up to £60k for a qualified individual (ICAS/ACCA) that showcases all relevant work experience. Suited to a newly qualified accountants looking to make their first move or a 2nd time mover looking for a new exciting challenge.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will support the project accounting requirements of the team to ensure the companies core professionals values of innovation, excellence and integrity are met.

Duties:

• Work alongside production to prepare and keep under review forward projections of project performance
• Produce financial analysis as required to assist with decision making
• Develop reporting templates to allow automated reports to be produced to promote transparent reporting on project performance and cost recovery
• To be responsible for regular review of project performance with project operational leads
• Undertake monthly and quarterly forecasting of project income and expenditure
• Responsibility for long term and short-term project cash flow forecasting
• Ensure that projects demonstrate value for money and proactively challenge where instances arise which do not appear to delivery economy, efficiency and effectiveness
• Assist with validation of resource hours and subcontractor costs
• Monitor committed costs through open PO’s
• Driving improvements to processes and procedures with a focus on standardising, streamlining and automating
• Lead projects from a financial perspective from tender to completion
• Raise milestone invoices with customer reporting requirements
• Assist with improving project reporting process and systems within the finance department
