Long Term Futures is working with a large secondary school in Waltham Forest to recruit a Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated Student Care Team. This role is an excellent opportunity to be at the heart of a proactive team that supports students in overcoming challenges and achieving their potential.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll provide tailored support to students, helping them navigate social, emotional, and behavioural challenges while promoting a positive school ethos. The school is known for its inclusive approach and commitment to both staff and student well-being.
What You'll Be Doing:
Work closely with the Student Care Team to develop and implement behaviour strategies tailored to individual students' needs
Provide mentoring and guidance to students, supporting them in overcoming barriers to learning
Assist with managing behaviour in and out of the classroom, fostering a respectful and positive school environment
Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor student progress and implement effective interventions
Act as a role model, encouraging positive behaviour and emotional resilience
Support whole-school initiatives aimed at improving behaviour, attendance, and student well-beingAbout the School:

Experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school or similar environment
A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to managing behaviour
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and an understanding of SEMH needsKey Details:
Full-time role, Monday to Friday
Paid £105 - £120 per day, term time only
Based in Waltham Forest, London
