Job Advertisement: Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Wellingborough
Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 1 Week Days / 1 Week Nights (Rotating) - No Weekends

We are looking for a skilled Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing company in Wellingborough. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to the efficient running of the production process by carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance on a range of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on food manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with the production team to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operations.
• Carry out routine checks, inspections, and servicing of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and equipment status.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong skills in both electrical and mechanical engineering (multi-skilled).
• Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and solve problems quickly.
• A strong commitment to health and safety practices.
• Experience in food manufacturing or a regulated industry is a bonus.

Shift Details:

• Rotating Shift Pattern: 1 week of days, followed by 1 week of nights.
• No weekends required.
• Competitive salary of around £50,000 per annum.
