Job Description

Our client based in Underberg is seeking an experienced warehouse manager. The ideal candidate should have excellent planning and organisational skills, and have the ability to work under under pressure to meet deadlines. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 At least 5 years’ management experience. Above average computer skills. Advanced experience in warehousing in large FMCG environments. Higher education in warehouse management and logistics – preferably a degree, course or NQF. Own reliable transport and valid driver’s Licence are required. Preference will be given to candidates who reside in the KZN area. Responsibilities: Oversee goods unloading, checking against orders, and warehouse floor planning. Coordinate deliveries and ensure correct packing of goods. Enforce safety procedures, supervise staff, and manage daily cleaning duties. Ensure proper use of PPE, equipment functionality, and a safe working environment. Advise on health and safety practices, inspect equipment, and investigate incidents. Monitor CCTV, manage access control, and address fire hazards. Verify PODs, dispatch drivers, and handle returns and credits with administration. Manage employee administration, including timecards, leave, and overtime. Organize training for new staff and manage stock takes. Liaise with stock and administration departments and, ensure stock rotation and FIFO. Ensure accurate stock records and assist with inter-branch transfers.
